In Another time, in another world much like the Aabahran known today, the entity known as Thelsyome was but a nameless leg in a triad of immortal keepers. In that world, the entity existed only to guard the flow of power generated by the white moon Lysenties. Particularly, the entity was the keeper of compassion. Without its guardians, the flow of life’s energies to the world would stagnate and eventually die. For years, the entity, along with its siblings, stood unchallenged as the protectors of that pillar. However, when the Primes of Life, Balance and Death collapsed in the wake of the lunar alignment, a gateway was spawned, giving way to a massive legion of demonic invaders. The guardians were pitted against this force in a final attempt to save their world. Facing impossible odds, the guardians failed and were each sentenced to eternal suffering. The entity now known as Thelsyome was cursed to live out its immortality within a fiery prison. Enduring eons of torture within this inferno, the entity was at last summoned away. When Luqin was destroyed, his lifeforce, much akin to the power of a dying star, was released into the multiverse. Cutting through realities, this energy allowed the entity to enter Aabahran, though not without a hefty toll. The entity soon came to realize that without a direct link to the moon that spawned it, its own lifeforce would slowly dwindle to nothing. In order to anchor its existence onto Aabahran, it required a mortal host for its lifeforce. Thus, it acquired the body of the priestess, Thelsyome. And though she managed to escape her prison, Thelsyome learned that she would never be able to escape her sentence. The fires that once imprisoned her now consumed her. She became one with the inferno that was her curse. In a gesture of acceptance, Thelsyome donned the form of the phoenix. While her true intentions in this world have yet been made clear, it is certain that she is as she was; guardian of compassion.
