THE PRIMES OF POWER
Prime of Life (Lysenties)
The Prime of Life drawing its power directly from Lysenties the White sustains all forces benign to life and good alignment and directly opposes the Prime of Death and all its powers. Good aligned Immortals and most spells of healing, protection or those meant to oppose Death draw upon this Prime.
Prime of Balance (Nercuros)
The Prime of Balance draws its power from Nercuros the Grey and as its name suggests sustains forces of Neutral align and balances the inevitable power imbalance between Primes of Life and Death. Arcane spells dealing with essence of magic and time are powered by this Prime.
Prime of Death (Dyphrities)
The Prime of Death draws its power from Dyphrities the Black sustaining all forces of Death and of Evil align such as Undead, evil Immortals, and spells meant to disrupt or corrupt life. The True Night which occurs when only Dyphrities hangs in the night sky occurs only once in every year, and is a time when the powers of this Prime can dwarf all other arcane forces in their potency.
THE PLANES OF POWER
Plane of Nature (Primes of Life and Death)
The eternal struggle of Life against Death and their alignment counterparts Good and Evil results in the Plane of Nature. All living things have strong ties to this Plane, and any magics which deal with natural elemental forces such as water, air and earth are powered by it. The neutral ethos draws upon the power of this Plane.
Plane of Order (Primes of Life and Balance)
The Prime of Life when reinforced by the Prime of Balance gives rise to this Plane. The powers created by this interaction directly oppose the Plane of Chaos and are very strongly associated with scholarly pursuit of knowledge be it arcane or mundane. The Lawful ethos draws upon the power of this Plane.
Plane of Chaos (Primes of Death and Balance)
The Prime of Death when reinforced by the Prime of Balance gives rise to this Plane. The powers of Chaos directly oppose the Plane of Order and are evident in any force causing unnatural death and destruction. Spell seeking to undo the natural structure of the world, and elements of fire and lightning are bound to this Plane. Demons and Torments which make their way from Nexus into Aabahran also sustain themselves from Plane of Chaos. The Chaotic ethos draws upon the power of this Plane.
